Hawkes Nest Farm has been in production of quality products for over 80 years and four generations. It all started in the early 1900's with Papa Hawkes who raised a variety or products mainly included chickens and tobacco. His son John Archer took the farm over from him and added cattle and hogs. The chickens were phased out and tobacco became the main cash crop. Then to aid in the farm chores was John Robert his son and my dad. Together we helped keep the farm going and enjoy many of the quality things that farm living has to offer. Today the farm chores are handled by my family as now we are raising angus cattle and tamworth hogs.
